Preparation steps

Toast the pine nuts until golden brown in a dry pan. Remove from the pan and let cool. Remove the leaves from the basil, and peel the garlic. Coarsely chop both the garlic and basil. Finely grate the parmesan cheese.

Place the garlic, pine nuts, parmesan cheese, and a little in a food processor. Process into a fine paste. With the food processor running, add enough oil until a thick pesto has formed. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
3.
Serve the pesto mixed into spaghetti.
