- 35 ozs Beef (e. g. from the leg)
- 4 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 2 carrots (diced)
- 2 onions (diced)
- 1 ⅔ cups Celeriac (diced)
- 2 cups Guinness
- 4 bay leaves
- 4 cloves
Preparation steps

Season the meat with salt and ground black pepper and fry in a roasting tin in 2 tbsp hot oil on all sides. Remove from the tin and fry the vegetables in the remaining oil. Deglaze with some of the Guinness and return the meat to the tin.

Add the bay leaves and cloves, cover and braise for approx. 2 hours. Turn the meat every now and then and if necessary add more Guinness. Before serving puree the sauce, season and serve separately.
