1 bunch smooth parsley
250 grams cooked ham (piece)
150 grams Hard cheese
butter (for the baking dish)

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse and peel potatoes and carrots. Dice potatoes into cubes and cut the carrots into slices. Put the potatoes and carrots in a pan of water, cover with water and season with salt, pepper, caraway seeds and nutmeg. Cover and cook for 15 minutes over medium heat.

Rinse herbs, chop, shake dry and the pluck the leaves. Grate the cheese.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Coat a baking dish with butter.

Dice ham into cubes.

Layer the ham, carrots, potatoes and herbs in the casserole dish. Whisk milk with eggs and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Pour egg mixture over the vegetables and sprinkle the cheese on top.

6.

Bake on the middle rack until golden brown, 40 minutes.
