- Ingredients
- 3 chinese Cabbage (shredded)
- ½ cup peas
- 1 cup diced, cooked carrots
- 2 scallions (finely chopped)
- 1 clove garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 9 ozs Tofu (mashed)
- 1 tsp Miso paste
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 12 Wonton wrapper
- non-stick cooking spray (vegetable)
- To serve
- soy sauce
Preparation steps
1.
Mix together half the peas and carrots with the remaining vegetables, garlic, tofu, miso paste and ginger.
2.
Take 1 won ton wrapper and cover the others with a damp cloth. Brush the edges of the wrapper lightly with water.
3.
Place 1 rounded tablespoon of the vegetable mixture in the centre of the wrapper.
4.
Fold the edges inside and press together. Push the corners up and hold in place between your thumbs and index fingers.
5.
Wet the corners with your fingers. Bring the two corners together so that one overlaps the other. Press together to seal, eaving an opening. Sprinkle with the remaining peas and carrots. Cover each won ton with a damp cloth. Repeat until all the filling is used.
6.
Spray the steamer rack lightly with non-stick vegetable spray to prevent sticking. Place as many won tons as will fit into the steamer without touching each other.
7.
Cover and steam for 10-12 minutes, until the wrappers are soft and tender.
8.
Serve with soy sauce.
