- 200 grams Dark couverture chocolate
- 200 grams softened butter
- 4 eggs (medium-sized)
- 300 grams fine sugar
- 3 tsps Gingerbread spice
- 50 grams Cocoa
- 100 grams Pastry flour
- 4 Tbsps Whiskey

- 50 grams Dark chocolate (chocolate glaze from a bottle)
- Sugar pearls
Preparation steps
Grate the dark couverture. Stir the butter until creamy. Gradually stir in the eggs, sugar and gingerbread spice. Sift the cocoa and flour and stir in, alternately with the whiskey. Finally, stir in the couverture.
Line a shallow, rectangular baking pan (about 22x28 cm, approximately 9x11 inches) with parchment paper. Pour in the batter and smooth. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (gas mark 2-3, fan: 160°C) (approximately 350°F) for 35-40 minutes. Remove from the oven, cover with parchment paper and let cool.
Remove from the baking pan. Cut out brownies in the shapes of stars and hearts (any small pieces remaining from the cutouts can be cut into smaller shapes). Melt chocolate glaze according to instructions. Decorate the brownies with the glaze and sugar pearls as desired.
