½ pkg Puff pastry dough (frozen)
2 egg yolks
assorted Fresh herbs (such as: rosemary, sage leaves, caraway and mustard seeds)
coarse salt
Pastry flour (for kneading)

Preparation steps

1.

Thaw puff pastry. Thinly roll out onto a floured surface.

2.

Use cookie cutters to cut out chickens and chicks. Cut out circles for eyes, wings and tails.

3.

Coat dough with beaten egg yolk and assemble. Brush dough with egg yolk.

4.

Decorate with herbs and bake in an oven  preheated to 220°C (approximately 425°F) for about 15 minutes. Remove and let cool.

5.

SeErve on a rosemary wreath with sugar eggs.
