- 4 sour Apple
- 3 Tbsps lemon juice
- 4 eggs
- 1 pinch salt
- 90 grams sugar
- 120 grams Pastry flour
- 25 grams cornstarch
- 50 grams ground Walnut
- 250 milliliters
- 1 tsp butter (5 grams, approximately 3/16 ounce)
- ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp brown sugar (10 grams, approximately 1/3 ounce)
Preparation steps
1.
Rinse apples, remove seeds, cut into wedges and sprinkle with lemon juice.
2.
Separate eggs. Beat egg whites with 1 pinch of salt until stiff. Beat yolks with sugar until fluffy.
3.
Combine flour with cornstarch and walnuts. Stir alternately with milk to egg yolk mixture then fold in egg whites.
4.
Grease a round casserole pan with 24 cm (approximately 9-1/2 inch) diameter with butter and pour in batter. Top with apple slices and sprinkle to taste with cinnamon and brown sugar.
5.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan oven 180°C; gas mark 3) (approximately 390°F) for about 30 minutes. Remove and serve hot.
