The sulphur- and sulphide-containing compounds from garlic and chives are said to have anti-cancer properties; they are said to have a positive effect on intestinal cancer in particular.

The basic recipe of the delicious self-made herb garlic butter can be adapted to your own taste by simply using your favorite herbs for the spread. The dried dates give the butter a special flair, but of course you can also simply leave them out.
