- Ingredients
- 1 stale White roll
- 7 red shallots
- 2 garlic cloves
- olive oil
- 600 grams Ground beef
- 1 egg
- 2 tsps sweet ground paprika
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- thyme
Preparation steps
1.
Soak bread pieces in lukewarm water.
2.
Peel and finely chop 1 shallot and the garlic and sauté over high heat in a pan with 1 tablespoon oil until translucent. Remove from heat and let cool.
3.
Use your hands to gently combine ground beef with the egg, soaked bread pieces (squeezed of excess water), shallot and garlic mixture, paprika and salt and pepper to taste. Carefully form into small oval patties. Peel the remaining shallots and halve or quarter.
4.
Place the patties, thyme and quartered shallots in a greased grill pan and cook slowly on a hot grill, turning frequently until golden brown on all sides.
