The aromatic substances of the strawberry, above all ferulic and ellagic acid, can prevent the development of cancer and, as secondary plant substances, offer the body cells overall protection.
Depending on what is in your fruit basket at the moment, just about anything is suitable for the barbecue skewer. So let your imagination run free! If the fruit skewers are to be prepared vegan, the honey can simply be replaced by another sweetener and the yoghurt by an alternative based on soy, oats, lupine or coconut.

- 1 Orange
- 200 grams Pineapple
- 1 Pear
- 100 grams Strawberries
- vegetable oil (for the grill)
- 250 grams Natural yogurt
- 3 Tbsps honey
- 2 Tbsps Lime juice
- 1 Tbsp freshly chopped mint
Preparation steps
Peel orange, remove all white skin and cut into slices or bite-size pieces. Roughly chop pineapple pulp. Rinse pear, cut into quarters, remove core and cut into large pieces. Rinse strawberries and cut in half. Alternately stick fruit on 8 water-soaked wooden skewers and place on an oiled grill pan. Cook under a preheated oven broiler, watching carefully, while turning for 5-7 minutes.
Mix yogurt in a bowl with honey, lime juice and mint. Serve grilled fruit skewers with yogurt dip.
