2 Tbsps vegetable oil
1 Tbsp honey
300 milliliters Red wine
100 milliliters Red wine vinegar
½ tsp dried thyme
1 generous pinch Ground clove

800 grams thick-cut Tuna steak

Preparation steps

Peel onions, cut into thin strips and fry in oil. Stir in honey, red wine, red wine vinegar and spices and cook over low heat, about 45 minutes. Add hot water, if pan becomes dry. Season with salt, pepper and balsamic vinegar.

Cut tuna into serving pieces and place on a medium-hot grill. Cook 2-3 minutes per side. Season with salt and pepper and serve with red onion chutney.
