28 ozs Kale (or green cabbage)
14 ozs potatoes (peeled and diced)
1 large onion (chopped)
salt
peppers
3 bay leaves
2 Tbsps Oatmeal
¼ cup butter
7 ozs crisply cooked, fatty Bacon (chopped)

Preparation steps

1.

Heat the oven to 375°F. Grease a baking dish.

Cook the cabbage, potatoes and onion in boiling salted water for 5 minutes.
3.
Drain and season with salt and pepper. Put into the baking dish with the bay leaves and oatmeal.
4.
Cover and cook for about 1 hour until the vegetables are tender.
5.
Dot with butter and cook uncovered for about 15 minutes until lightly browned. Scatter with bacon and garnish with parsley.
