- 250 grams Pastry flour
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 150 grams Leeks (cut into thin rings)
- 80 grams grated Cheese (such as Gruyère)
- 2 tsps Baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 egg
- 50 milliliters vegetable oil
- 4 Tbsps Whipped cream
- 300 grams Buttermilk
- For topping
- 12 tsps grated Cheese (z. B. Gruyère)

Preparation steps

Mix flour with salt, pepper, leeks, cheese, baking powder and baking soda.

In a large bowl, whisk the egg slightly. Add vegetable oil, cream and buttermilk and mix together well. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture and stir only until the dry ingredients are moist.

Pour the mixture into the greased muffin wells. Top each with 1 teaspoon grated cheese and bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. Let the muffins rest in baking tray for 5 minutes, then remove from the pan and serve warm.
