- 1 generous pinch Citric acid
- pink Food coloring

Mix the sugar with 7 tablespoons of water and heat until it begins to brown. Immediately remove from the heat and plunge the pan briefly into ice water to halt caramelization.

Stir in the citric acid along with some food coloring to create a light pink color.
Transfer half the mixture into heart-shaped molds.
3.
Mix the remaining mixture with a little more food coloring to create a brighter pink and transfer to heart-shaped molds.
Place a stick in each mold and leave them to solidify before serving.
