Preparation steps

For the sauce, puree about 2/3 of the rinsed berries with the lemon juice, then strain through a fine strainer. Boil the puree with the sugar, add the remaining berries, and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add the orange liqueur, remove from the heat, and let cool.

Using a melon baller, scoop out enough of the melon for several balls. Cut the rest of the melon into bite-sized cubes and triangles. Arrange the fruit decoratively on skewers, then drizzle with lemon juice. Serve the skewers with the berry sauce.
