150 grams Pastry flour
1 Tbsp powdered sugar
125 grams cold butter

5 Tbsps sugar beet syrup
3 Tbsps melted butter
½ tsp Vanilla
200 grams Pecan
butter (for the baking dish)

Preparation steps

For the dough, cut the butter into small pieces. Combine the flour, powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon water and butter and quickly work into a smooth dough. Shap into a disc, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1/2 hour.

Grease the tart tin with butter. Roll out the dough between two sheets of plastic wrap. Press the dough into the tart tin and trim the crust. Place a sheet of parchment paper on it and cover with baking beans.

Blind bake in an oven preheated to 200°C (approximately 400°F) for 15 minutes.

For the topping, whisk together eggs, corn syrup, melted butter and vanilla. Spread nuts on the crust, pour the egg mixture over the nuts and again bake for 30 minutes.
