1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
¼ tsp salt
2 fresh eggs
1 cup milk
½ tsp butter (melted)

Preparation steps

1.
Grease and flour six 6-ounce custard cups or popover pans.

In a small bowl, sift flour; measure and sift again with salt. Beat eggs lightly, add milk and butter. Add egg mixture to flour mixture, mixing until batter is just smooth.
3.
Fill prepared custard cups or pans half way full. Place cups on a baking sheet and place in a cold oven. Set the temperature at 400º F and bake for 50 minutes. Remove from custard cups immediately. Serve hot.
