2 kilograms gherkins (equal sizes if possible)
30 grams salt
1 tsp white peppercorns
1 tsp allspice
2 Tbsps Mustard seed
1 handful Dill
¾ l Wine vinegar
100 grams sugar

Preparation steps

Rinse the cucumbers well and prick each several times with a needle. Place in a bowl, shower with salt and pour in enough water so that the cucumbers are covered. Infuse for about 24 hours.

Drain and rinse the cucumbers and pat dry. Layer into jars along with the spices add the dill.

Boil the vinegar with 0.75 liters of water (approximately 3 cups) and the sugar. Pour over the cucumbers until all are completely covered.

Close the jars securely and store in a cool and dark place until needed.
