Pizza with Shrimp and Tomato
Ingredients
- For the dough
- 375 grams Pastry flour
- 20 grams Yeast
- 200 milliliters water
- 4 Tbsps olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- For the topping
- 2 Tbsps olive oil
- 400 grams crushed Diced tomatoes
- 1 garlic clove (pressed)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp sugar
- freshly ground peppers
- 150 grams Cherry tomatoes
- 120 grams Prawn
- 3 Tbsps olive oil
- olive oil (for brushing)
- Basil
Preparation steps
For the dough, mix the flour with salt in a bowl and make a well in the middle. Crumble the yeast and mix with water and oil in the well. Knead to form a smooth dough. Cover the dough and leave for about 30 minutes.
For the topping, heat olive oil in a pan and fry the crushed tomatoes in it. Add the garlic, and season with salt, sugar and pepper. Simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Divide the dough into 12 portions and roll out each portion on a floured surface into small pizza base. Brush the base with a little olive oil and spread the tomato sauce on top.
Rinse and halve the cherry tomatoes and place over the bases. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan: 180°C, gas mark 3) (approximately 400°F) for about 8 minutes. Place the prawns over the pizzas and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for further 3-4 minutes in the oven. Serve garnished with basil.
