600 grams potatoes
2 Russet apples
1 lemon (juiced)
2 Tbsps butter
125 grams ham
350 grams Whipped cream
salt
freshly ground peppers
Nutmeg
½ tsp Curry powder

Preparation steps

1.

Quarter the apples, remove the seeds and cut into thin columns. Immediately sprinkle the apples with lemon juice.

Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.

Cube the ham.

Grease a baking dish with butter. Alternately layer the potatoes and apples and ham in the baking dish.

5.

Season the cream with salt, pepper, nutmeg and curry powder. Pour the cream over the vegetables. Bake for 45-50 minutes at 160°C (approximately 325°F).

6.

Spread flakes of butter over the gratin. Bake for another 5 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from the oven, let cool and serve.
