Nutritional values

Red cabbage is rich in vasoprotective vitamin C and cholesterol-lowering glucosinolates. The blue-violet color is due to anthocyanins, which have anti-inflammatory and cell-protective effects. Pectin from the pulp of the Apple keeps blood sugar levels constant, which prevents cravings. And it helps to eliminate unwanted substances - supported by the also contained potassium with its draining properties.

As a side dish, whole wheat bread goes super with red cabbage salad with apples and walnuts. Try, for example, our crispy juicy Sourdough baguette or the quick pita bread.
