Nutritional values
Salmon is the number one edible fish and is super-healthy - made possible by omega-3 fatty acids. Specifically, these are eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which are abundant in salmon. Although the meat of the sea creature is very rich in fat, it is indispensable for our body. So every fat calorie is worth it!
The easiest way to tell if the salmon is cooked through is to cut it. Prick the middle of the fillet with a sharp knife. If it is still very glassy in the middle, it is not yet cooked. If it's only slightly translucent, it's perfect. When it's removed from the heat, it's still cooking.
