300 grams white Beans (from a jar)
200 grams Kidney beans (canned)
2 Tbsps sun-dried Tomatoes (in oil)
100 milliliters dry Red wine
400 grams crushed Tomatoes (canned)
300 milliliters Beef broth
1 tsp freshly chopped thyme
1 tsp freshly chopped oregano
1 bay leaf
2 peppercorns
salt
freshly ground peppers

Preparation steps

Peel the onion and garlic and chop finely. Cut the bacon into thin strips. Cut hot dogs into thin slices. Rinse the beans over a sieve and drain well. Drain sun-dried tomatoes and cut into narrow strips.

In a large saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons oil and cook onion with the garlic until translucent. Add pancetta and hot dogs, sauté briefly and mix in the sun-dried tomatoes. Deglaze with wine, pour in the crushed tomatoes, broth, herbs and spices (in a spice bag). Season with salt and pepper and simmer for about 15 minutes over medium heat. Add the beans and simmer over medium heat for another 10 minutes. Remove the spices, taste the stew, adjust seasonings and serve sprinkled with parsley, if desired.
