- 1 tsp salt
- 1.333 cups dry white wine
- 1 small onion (quartered)
- 2 unwaxed lemons
- 32 ozs cleaned Octopus
- 1 unwaxed Orange
- 4 Tbsps extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic cloves (thinly sliced)
- ¼ tsp freshly ground peppers
- To serve
- Lettuce
- Tomatoes (quartered)
- Lemon wedge

1 großer Pot mit Deckel, 1 Bowl, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Fork, 1 Sieve, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Fine grater, 1 Cutting board
Preparation steps
1.
Put the water, salt, wine and onion in a large pan. Cut 1 lemon in half and squeeze the juice into the pan, then add the 2 lemon halves. Bring to a simmer and add the octopus. Cook for 20 minutes.

Finely grate the zest of the remaining lemon and the orange into a bowl, then squeeze in the juices. Add the oil, garlic and pepper.

Drain the octopus and cut into pieces if wished and add to the bowl. Cover and leave to stand, stirring occasionally, for 3 hours.
4.
Place on serving plates and serve with lettuce, tomatoes and lemon wedges.
