- 300 grams Corn kernel (canned)
- 800 grams potatoes (floury)
- salt
- 1 onion
- 4 carrots
- 800 grams Ground beef
- 4 Tbsps sunflower oil
- freshly ground peppers
- 300 milliliters Beef broth
- 150 milliliters milk
- 50 grams butter
- 1 Tbsp chopped parsley
Preparation steps
In a colander, drain corn kernels. Peel potatoes, cut into quarters and cook for about 30 minutes in boiling salted water. In the meantime, peel the onion and carrots and chop. Brown ground beef in hot sunflower oil until crumbly and slightly browned, season with salt and pepper.
Add onion and carrot to the meat and fry then add corn. Deglaze with broth, cover and simmer about 20 minutes at low temperature.
Meanwhile, preheat oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Drain the potatoes and press through a ricer. Heat milk and mix with mashed potatoes. Add butter in small pieces and stir, season with salt and pepper and parsley. Spread ground beef with the vegetables into a baking dish. Cover over with mashed potatoes and smooth. Bake in preheated oven about 20 minutes and serve hot.
