18 ozs Sour cherry
2 eggs
4 ozs sugar
3 ½ ozs softened butter
1 ½ tsps Vanilla sugar
18 ozs Sour cream
4 Tbsps Semolina flour
1 packet vanilla pudding mix
1 oz slivered almonds
powdered sugar (for dusting)

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse sour cherries, clean and pit. Separate eggs. Beat egg whites with half of sugar until stiff.

2.

Whisk butter until creamy. Gradually add egg yolks, stir in remaining sugar and vanilla sugar. Combine sour cream with semolina and pudding powder. Add to butter mixture and fold in egg whites and cherries. 

3.

Spread batter in a buttered and sprinkled with semolina baking pan 10" in diameter and sprinkle with almonds. Bake in a preheated oven at 325°F for about 65 minutes. Cover cake with parchment paper or foil if cake browns too much. Remove from the oven and cool. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
