For the dough
14 ozs Pastry flour
1 packet Dry yeast
1 pinch salt
3 Tbsps sugar
5 ozs lukewarm milk
4 Tbsps butter
2 medium eggs
For the topping
7 Tbsps Marzipan
1 medium egg
7 ozs dried Apricot
2 ozs almonds
1 medium egg yolk
1 Tbsp milk

Preparation steps

1.

For the dough: mix flour, yeast, salt and sugar. Add milk, butter and eggs. Knead into a smooth dough and let rest for 40 minutes.

For the topping: mix marzipan with egg. Dice apricots.

Roll out dough into a 12 x 16 inches shape on a floured surface. Brush with the marzipan-egg mixture. Spread apricots and half the almonds on it. Roll dough and slice into pieces 1 1/4-inch thick.

4.

Place on a lined baking tray. Whisk egg yolk with milk. Brush on rolls and top with remaining almonds. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F for about 25 minutes.
