- 800 grams lamb (shoulder)
- 2 onions
- 2 Tbsps olive oil
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- ½ tsp ground Turmeric
- ½ tsp ground Cumin
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 250 milliliters Beef broth
- 2 pickled lemons
- 400 grams small, waxy potatoes
- 200 grams Peas
- 1 Tbsp honey
- cilantro (for garnishing)
Preparation steps

Rinse meat, pat dry and chop into bite-sized pieces. Peel onions and chop finely. Heat oil in tagine or casserole dish, brown meat. Add onions, ginger, turmeric, cumin and cinnamon. Season with salt and pepper. Add broth. Cover and simmer for about 45 minutes on low heat. Add water if necessary.

Drain lemons and chop. Peel potatoes, rinse and hale or quarter. Add lemons and potaotes to lamb and simmer for about 20 minutes.

Finally, add peas and honey. Simmer for about 15 minutes.

Garnish with cilantro, season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve.
