Tuna and Artichoke Pizza
Ingredients
- For the dough
- 300 grams Pastry flour
- 125 milliliters lukewarm water
- 50 milliliters olive oil
- 20 grams fresh Yeast (½ cube)
- salt
- For the topping
- 2 onions
- 1 jar Artichoke hearts
- 300 grams Tuna (in its own juices)
- 2 Tbsps olive oil
- 8 Tbsps Tomato sauce (from a jar)
- 100 grams grated Cheese (such as Gouda or mountain cheese)
- ½ bunch Basil
Preparation steps
For the dough, mix the flour with the water, oil, crumbled yeast and salt in a bowl. Knead well to a smooth, elastic dough. Cover the dough and let rise for about 45 minutes in a warm place.
For the topping, peel the onions, halve and cut into thin rings.
Drain the artichoke hearts and cut in half. Drain the tuna and tear into pieces.
Knead the dough again and roll out into a pizza base as per the size of the baking sheet. Grease the baking sheet well with oil and put the pizza base on it. Spread the pizza base with tomato sauce and top with onions, artichoke hearts, tuna and grated cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan: 180°C, gas mark 3) (approximately 400°F) for about 30 minutes.
Before serving, sprinkle the pizza with basil leaves.
