Preparation steps

1.

In a small bowl combine the yeast with lukewarm water (enough to dissolve yeast) together. Sprinkle the sugar over it and set aside for 5 minutes until the yeast is liquid.

2.

Mix the ground flaxseed with 3 tablespoons oat milk and 3 tablespoons grapeseed oil. Put the flour, salt, yogurt alternative, yeast and remaining oat milk into a bowl and mix into a smooth dough using the dough hook of a stand mixer.

3.

Let the dough rise in a warm place for 45 minutes until it has doubled in volume.

4.

Divide the dough into 8 portions, form into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover with a tea towel. Leave to rise for a further 25 minutes in a warm place.

5.

Mix the soy creamer with the remaining oil and brush onto the Burger Buns. Sprinkle Burger Buns with sesame, chia seeds and caraway seeds as desired. Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C/ 425°F convection 200 °C/ 400 °F) for about 12-14 minutes. Let the vegan Burger Buns cool down on a cake rack.
