Preparation

Kitchen utensils

1 Hand mixer, 1 Small knife, 1 Springform pan (10" diameter)

Preparation steps

1.

Beat the soft butter with coconut blossom sugar until fluffy, add vanilla and salt. Stir the eggs one after the other into the mixture. Wash lemon with hot water, dab dry, grate peel, and squeeze juice. Add the lemon grated peel to the butter mixture and stir in.

2.

Mix the flour with the baking powder and cinnamon and alternately stir into the butter mixture with the applesauce and milk in portions until a smooth dough is obtained. Peel, halve and core the apples and cut fine slices into the surface. Mix the apple halves with the lemon juice and maple syrup.

3.

Pour the cake mixture into a springform pan that has been greased, smooth it down and place the apple halves on the dough with the smooth sides facing down. Sprinkle with sunflower seeds and bake in a preheated oven at 350 °F for about 50 minutes.
