Among other things, they are said to be able to alleviate breathing and digestion problems, gum inflammation and allergy problems.
For the leaf salad with aloe vera, you must prepare the aloe vera beforehand. For this, cut the leaf into 8-10 cm wide pieces, cut away the green on the flatter side until you can see a transparent layer. You can now carefully remove the gel from the leaf. For aloe vera recipes always use only plants that are suitable for consumption, because there are also poisonous varieties.

Ingredients

- 200 Lettuce (such as endive, radicchio, oak leaf, lettuce)
- 1 Grapefruit
- Aloe (fillet of a 5 cm long piece)
- 4 Tbsps olive oil
- 2 Tbsps balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp Mustard
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 1 Tbsp chopped Fresh herbs
Preparation steps
Rinse the lettuce, shake dry and tear into bite sized pieces. Peel the grapefruit with a sharp knife, rinse and cut the fillets along the partitions. Chop the aloe vera into small sections and arrange on a plate, together with the grapefruit segments.
For the dressing, combine the vinegar and mustard and season with salt and pepper. Whisk in the oil and stir in the herbs, to taste.
Serve the salad drizzled with the dressing.
