- 2 kilograms Pork ribs
- 2 onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 100 milliliters Beef broth
- ½ Orange (juice)
- ½ lemon (juice)
- 4 Tbsps Ketchup
- 1 Tbsp sharp Mustard
- 2 Tbsps soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp ground paprika
- 1 Tbsp chopped ginger
- salt
- Tabasco sauce
- freshly ground peppers
Preparation steps
1.
Rinse the spare ribs, pat dry, place in a pot, and cover with boiling water.
2.
Peel and halve one onion and add it to the pot. Add a clove of garlic to the pot and simmer for about 30 minutes.
3.
Heat the oil in a large sauté pan.
4.
Peel the remaining onion, dice, and sauté. Press or mince the remaining garlic and add it to the pan.
5.
Add the broth and orange juice and let simmer down slightly.
6.
Mix the onion mixture with the ketchup, mustard, soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
7.
Add the paprika, lemon juice, and ginger. Season with salt, Tabasco, and pepper.
8.
Remove the spare ribs from the pot and place on a baking sheet.
9.
Brush with the barbecue sauce and broil or grill for about 15 to 20 minutes. Brush with the barbecue sauce again before serving.
