1 kilogram Apple
2 Tbsps Rum
half lemons (Juice of half a lemon)
2 cups Whipped cream about 200 grams (approximately 7 ounces)
200 grams sugar
1 packet Vanilla sugar
1 tsp grated Orange peel (Untreated)
5 medium eggs
375 grams Pastry flour
1 packet Baking powder
50 grams raisins
For the topping
80 grams butter
100 grams sugar
4 Tbsps milk
40 grams Almond slivers
20 grams chopped Pistachio

Preparation steps

1.

For the dough: Rinse the apples, quarter, peel and core. Cut the apples into strips and mix with the rum and lemon juice.

Whip the cream until semi-stiff. Add the sugar, vanilla sugar and orange zest and fold in. Stir in the eggs individually. Sift the flour and baking powder and stir into the mixture.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the dough evenly on it. Place the apple slices on in rows. Sprinkle the raisins on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for 15 minutes.

4.

For the topping: Melt the butter. Add sugar and milk and bring to a boil. Pour over the cake. Sprinkle with almonds and pistachios and bake another 20-25 minutes.
