Unfortunately, the strawberry season also comes to an end at some point, but even then you can still enjoy this superfood treat: simply replace the red fruit with other seasonal fruit, for example peach or nectarine slices in summer and pomegranate seeds in winter.

- 1 Avocado
- salt

- 1 splash Lime juice
- 3 ½ ozs Feta
- 2 slices Sourdough (bread)
- 1 handful Strawberries
- 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- Red pepper flakes
Preparation steps
Cut the avocado in half and remove the seed. Remove the flesh from the skin and crush it coarsely. Season with salt, pepper, and lime juice. Crumble the feta and mix 2 ounces with avocado.
Spread slices of bread with avocado feta cream. Bake in a preheated oven at 390°F for about 10 minutes.
In the meantime, wash, clean and slice the strawberries. Mix strawberries with balsamic vinegar and season with pepper and chili flakes. Spread the strawberries on the bread, top with remaining crumbled feta, and serve.
