Preparation steps

1.

For the dough, crumble all the ingredients between your hands to a sandy consistency, add 2-3 tablespoons water, and knead to a smooth dough. Cover the dough in plastic wrap and let rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

2.

For the filling, peel the onion and cut into thin strips. Rinse, trim and chop the red chile pepper. Heat the sunflower oil in a pan and fry the ground beef until crumbly. Season with salt and pepper, add the ground curry and onion, and stir well. Remove the pan from heat, allow to cool, and mix with the breadcrumbs.

3.

Divide the dough into 8 equal parts and shape each into balls. Roll out each ball into a circle about 12 cm (approximately 5 inches) wide. Place the filling into the center of each circle, leaving a 2-3 (approximately 1 inch) cm border. Fold the dough over the filling to cresent and press the edges together with a fork.

Place the dumplings over a baking tray lined with baking paper with a little distance from each other. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (fan: 160°C, gas mark 2-3) (approximately 350°F) until golden brown, about 30 minutes.
