24 ozs cooking Apple (peeled and cored weight, chopped)
cup water
35 ozs Blackberry
6 cups sugar

Preparation steps

1.
Put the apples into a large heavy-based pan with the water. Bring to a boil, then simmer gently for 10 minutes.
2.
Add the blackberries and continue to simmer gently for about 10 minutes until soft and pulpy.
3.
Stir in the sugar until completely dissolved and then bring to a boil.
4.
Boil rapidly for about 15-20 minutes until setting point is reached.
5.
Pour into warm sterilised jars, cover, seal and label.
