- Ingredients
- 1 Chard leaf
- Ice cubes
How healthy are the main ingredients?
Chard leafPreparation steps
1.
Trim and rinse the chard, cut off the stems at the root and blanch, in portions, in slightly boiling water.
When the chard leaves begin to wilt after 10-15 seconds of blanching, remove from the water with a slotted spoon and rinse immediately in a bowl with ice cold water. Gently lift out, drain on paper towels and repeat the process with the remaining portions.
2.
If they are not too woody or fibrous, blanch the stems separately for 2-3 minutes and then rinse under running cold water. Drain well.
The blanched chard can be added to bigger dishes or enjoyed on its own.
