- 4 ½ cups Broccoli (divided into florets, washed and drained)
- 2 shallots (peeled and chopped)
- 1 clove garlic cloves
- 2 Tbsps butter
- salt
- freshly ground Black pepper
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup cream (30% fat)
- Tabasco sauce
- Nutmeg
- 0.333 cup sliced almonds

PREHEAT THE OVEN

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

SWEAT THE VEGETABLES

Heat the butter and sweat the shallots until translucent. Press the garlic into the pan and sweat briefly. Then add the broccoli florets, season with salt and pepper and cook gently for about 5 minutes.

WHISK THE EGGS AND CREAM

Meanwhile whisk the eggs with the cream, season with salt and add a few drops of Tabasco and a little nutmeg.

ASSEMBLE AND BAKE

Transfer the broccoli to a greased baking dish, pour the egg and cream mixture over and bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes. Toast the almonds in a dry frying pan and scatter over the cooked broccoli pie.
