- 3 Tbsps Ghee
- 10 ozs Basmati rice
- 1 tsp ground Turmeric
- salt
- 4 Chicken breasts (approximately 5 ounces each)
- 1 oz ginger
- 4 garlic cloves
- 3 shallots
- 1 Tbsp Madras curry powder
- 5 ozs Beef broth
- 5 Curry leaves
- 1 handful cilantro
- 8 ozs canned chickpeas
- cilantro (for garnish)
- Tomatoes (for garnish)
Preparation steps
1.
Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a saucepan and sauté the rice and turmeric for 1-2 minutes. Cover the rice with about a 1/2 inch of water, add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes over low heat.
