Preparation steps

Rinse the plums and remove the stalks. Spread the plums on a dish towel. Pat dry and place on a lined baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 50°C (approximately 125°F). Dry the plums in the oven for approximately 6 hours (drying time can vary greatly depending on the type and size of plums). Keep the oven door open a crack using a wooden spoon. Remove from the oven when the plums are completly dry and feel leathery.
