Nutritional values

Figs score with minerals: Potassium lowers blood pressure, has a positive effect on our nerves and ensures a healthy electrolyte balance. 100 grams of dried figs contain about 75 milligrams of magnesium, which strengthens our nerves and is important for our muscle function.

Thanks to the sweet dried fruits, the English cake does not need any refined sugar. It is an ideal snack when we are lazy and burnt out, as the fruits and nuts provide us with quickly available energy. You can take a piece of the fruit cake as a snack for sports, for example. Due to the spices used, the cake from England gets Christmassy flavours. Therefore, when cut into pieces, it always goes down well on a cookie plate during the Advent season. By the way, you can store the fruit cake for up to two months. It tastes best after about two weeks, because there it has enough time to soak through, develop its aroma and is super juicy.
