4 Banana
2 Tbsps lemon juice
2 Tbsps butter
2 Tbsps brown sugar

Preparation steps

1.

Toast the almonds in a dry pan until golden brown. Remove from the heat and set aside. Peel the bananas, cut in half lengthwise and sprinkle the cut surfaces with lemon juice.

2.

Melt the butter with the sugar in a pan until the sugar has dissolved. Place the bananas in the pan, cut side down. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes, until the bananas caramelize. Remove from the heat.

3.

Arrange the bananas on a plate and sprinkle with the toasted almonds. Serve with mint garnish.

I tried fried bananas when I was about 11 years old in a fancy Mexican restaurant when I was a child. I loved them. I had no idea how easy it was to make and I waited 35 years to figure it out. I love it!
