Ingredients
- Ingredients
- 3 Tbsps Sesame seeds
- 1 red chili pepper
- 1 bunch cilantro (about 1 oz)
- ¾ oz ginger
- 2 ozs onions
- 5 Tbsps olive oil
- 2 Tbsps Curry powder
- 3 Tbsps soy sauce
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 Lime
Preparation steps
First roast sesame seeds without oil in a pan for 4-5 minutes at medium heat until golden brown and put aside.
Wash and clean the chile pepper, cut lengthwise, remove seeds and also dice finely. Wash cilantro, shake dry, pluck off leaves and chop finely. Peel and finely dice the onion. Peel ginger and chop finely. Halve the lime and squeeze it.
Now heat up the oil and sauté the onion and ginger for 1-2 minutes at medium heat. Then add curry powder and fry over medium heat for 1 minute. Then deglaze with soy sauce and 3 tablespoons water, add the sesame seeds and season with a teaspoon of honey, then let it cool down.
Stir 1-2 tablespoons of the lime juice into the sauce together with the chile pepper and cilantro, let it cool down, and serve, or store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
