Preparation steps

Peel and finely dice the shallot. Peel the garlic. Rinse the chili and halve lengthwise. Remove the seeds and finely dice.

Halve the avocados and remove the seeds. Scoop the pulp from the avocados using a spoon. Mash the avocado with the lemon juice, then mix well with a fork. Mix the shallots, cilantro, and chili into the mashed avocado. Pass the garlic through a press into the avocado mixture, and stir until combined. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve the guacamole with tortilla chips.
