For the fish
2 Tomatoes
1 scallion
1 small onion
Chives
2 Tbsps vegetable oil
2 Tbsps Fish sauce
2 Tbsps soy sauce
1 generous pinch Shredded chili peppers
4 Cod (each about 150 grams)
1 jar (400 ml) fish stock
For the Chinese cabbage
500 grams Napa cabbage
salt
1 onion
1 garlic clove
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
2 Tbsps soy sauce
freshly ground pepper

Preparation steps

For the fish: Rinse and quarter tomatoes, remove seeds and chop finely. Rinse scallion and chop finely. Peel onion and dice finely. Rinse chives and chop finely. Heat oil in a pan and saute onion until translucent. Place into a bowl and add fish sauce and soy sauce, mix well. Add remaining prepared ingredients and chile pepper.

Rinse and pat dry cod fillets. Heat fish stock in a deep pan, add fish and poach, covered, for about 12 minutes.

For the cabbage: Rinse cabbage and chop coarsely. Blanch in boiling salted water for 3-5 minutes. Drain well in a colander. Peel onion and garlic and dice into small cubes. Heat oil in a pan and saute onion and garlic until soft. Add cabbage and saute briefly. Season with soy sauce and pepper.

Remove fish with a slotted spoon and arrange on plates. Drizzle with sauce and serve accompanied by the cabbage.
