Ingredients
- For the meatballs
- 1 day old White roll
- 1 onion
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 500 grams mixed Ground meat
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp medium hot Mustard
- salt
- peppers
- 2 Tbsps vegetable oil
- For the mashed potatoes
- 1 red Bell pepper
- 1 green Bell pepper
- 1 bunch scallions
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 packet Instant mashed potato (for 3 servings of milk)
Preparation steps
For the meatballs: Soak rolls in water. Peel pnion, dice and sweat in butter until translucent. Combine ground meat with onion, egg, mustard, salt, pepper and squeezed rolls into a dough. With moistened hands, form small meatballs and fry on all sides in a pan in hot oil.
For the mashed potatoes: Cut bell peppers into quarters, remove seeds and finely chop. Rinse and trim scallions and finely chop. Heat oil and briefly sauté vegetables.
Make mashed potato powder according to package instructions, then stir in sautéed bell pepper mixture.
A greased shallow, ovenproof dish, add potatoes and smooth. Place meatballs on the mashed potatoes.
For the egg milk: Mix eggs and milk together. Add thyme, salt and pepper and pour over the meatballs. Bake in preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for about 45 minutes. Remove from oven and serve hot.
