500 grams Pastry flour
½ cube Yeast (approximately 21 grams)
½ tsp sugar
250 milliliters lukewarm milk
50 grams softened butter
1 egg
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsps milk
40 grams Sesame seeds

Preparation steps

Sieve flour into a bowl and make a well in the center. Crumble yeast into well, add sugar and stir in a little warm milk. Add a little flour and cover. Let rest for 30 minutes in a warm place. Add remaining milk, butter, egg and salt and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let rest for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F).

Knead dough again, form into a strand and cut into about 15 pieces. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Brush with water and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Cut crosswise. Bake until golden brown, or about 20 minutes. Cool on a wire rack and serve.
