Preparation steps

1.

Squeeze the juice from the lime. Rinse the chicken, pat dry and cut into narrow strips. Peel and crush the garlic.

Place the chicken in a bowl with 2 tablespoons of oil, the lime juice and garlic and season with chili powder, salt and Cajun seasoning. Mix well and leave to marinate in the refrigerator, covered, for at least 30 minutes.

2.

Rinse and trim the lettuce and shake dry. Peel and finely chop the shallot. Trim and chop the mushrooms.

Sauté the shallot in some oil along with the mushrooms for about 3 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.

3.

Heat the remaining oil in a pan. Remove the chicken from the marinade and fry for about 2 minutes on all sides. Mix in the shallot and mushroom mixture and cook together for another 2-3 minutes. Season to taste.

4.

Heat the tortillas briefly in a frying pan (or in the microwave).

Arrange a lettuce leaf on each tortilla, followed by the chicken. Roll up and serve immediately.
