Nutritional values

Cucumbers activate enzymes and digestive juices in the pancreas, gall bladder, and liver, thus supporting intact digestion. Turkey meat is rich in proteins - ideal for strong muscles. And in combination with potatoes the proteins can be utilized particularly well.

Instead of curry powder, you can also season the meatballs with smoked paprika powder - this gives a particularly hearty taste. If you can get some, you can of course use braised cucumbers instead of cucumbers for the vegetables.

Preparation steps

1.

Peel, wash and halve potatoes and cook in boiling salted water for about 25 minutes.

2.

Meanwhile, mix lemon zest and minced meat in a bowl and season with salt, pepper and curry powder. Form about 20-24 approx. 1-inch meatballs from the mixture. Heat oil and fry meatballs for 8 minutes over medium heat, turning.

3.

Along the way, clean, wash and halve cucumbers lengthwise. Scrape out seeds with a teaspoon, slice cucumbers crosswise. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a frying pan. Sauté cucumber slices for 3 minutes over medium heat. Then season with salt and apple cider vinegar, cover and simmer over low heat for 2-3 minutes.

4.

Drain the potatoes and press them through a potato ricer into a pot. Pour milk over them, add remaining butter and mix everything into a creamy puree, season with salt and 1 pinch of freshly grated nutmeg. Pour the puree onto plates and serve together with meatballs and braised cucumbers.
